Sharwan Kumar is a member of the 13th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. He represents the Surajgarh constituency of Jhunjhunu District of Rajasthan and is a member of the Indian National Congress. He is Chairman of "Committee on Welfare of Backward Class" and a member of "General Purpose Committee" of the Government of Rajasthan. [1]
Sh. Sharwan Kumar was born on October 02, 1954 and shares his birthday with the Father of the Nation, Mahatama Gandhi. He belongs to a Diwach Jat family from Ghardu ki Dhani (near Chirawa) but he is true common man leader. He is the only Jat MLA who has been admirably chosen by common men for four time in a row since 1993 to the 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.
He started his political career way back in 1982 as a grass root level worker of Indian National Congress. He first fought MLA election in 1993 and won as an independent candidate.
